The Brescia Food and Nutrition program offers students an opportunity to study the benefits of nutrition and dietetics. This is done through a combination of courses and activities. Students will get a hands-on approach to the food production process and will learn about the role of nutrition in global health. They will also be involved in volunteer programs.

The Brescia program has earned recognition for its many facets. It has received the Dietitians of Canada’s Ryley-Jeff’s Memorial Award and the Danone Institute’s Distinguished Nutrition Leadership Award. In addition to this, the program has been recognized by the College of Dietitians of Ontario for its commitment to excellence in teaching.

The most important feature of the Brescia Food and Nutrition program is its focus on maximizing learning opportunities for its students. During the program, students will take an assortment of introductory and advanced level courses. These will be conducted by award-winning faculty. Professors will help students evaluate the nutritional value of food products and develop critical thinking skills. Students can also participate in community volunteer activities to boost their resumes when it comes time to apply for internship programs.

As a part of its curriculum, Brescia students will learn about the impact of the food industry on the world. This is done through classes that focus on the chemical composition of food, cultural influences on eating habits, societal determinants of health, and a wide range of other related topics.

Among its many academic activities, the Brescia program has created a new residence and conference centre for its students. The $31 million facility features luxurious amenities such as kitchens, en suite glass showers, room service, lounges, and big-screen TVs. Additionally, the building is designed to promote student-centered living.

One of the most popular programs at Brescia is the Bachelor of Foods and Nutrition in Personal and Culinary Services General. ThisĀ brescia food nutrition degree program is designed to give students the knowledge and experience to work as a food and nutrition professional in a variety of positions. The program requires a bachelor’s degree with a grade of at least 78 percent in the last ten FCE credits.

Despite the impressive number of years in operation, Brescia is still an all-women’s university, with more than 1,200 full-time and part-time students on campus. Faculty and staff are dedicated to creating a learning environment that encourages interactive classroom discussions and the participation of students.
